Ignite Institute to be Highlighted at Next Rotary Meeting on Monday, May 17, 2021

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County, on Monday, May 17, 2021 as we hear from Chris Bryson, Academic Internship Coordinator and Jerome Gels, Co–Principal of the Ignite Institute. They will be highlighting Ignite and the Academic Internship and Mentoring programs at the school.

Bryson holds five degrees from Thomas More University. In 1993, he earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in philosophy and one in mathematics. He also earned an associate degree in drama. In 2000, Bryson earned his MBA. In 2015, he received his MAT.  He now serves as an adjunct professor at Thomas More and has since 2005. Chris won the university’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2013.

Along with teaching at Thomas More, Bryson serves as the academic internship coordinator at the Ignite Institute. His experience also includes leading quality improvement initiatives, corporate trend analysis of key performance indicators, and accreditation/licensure standards development with Fortune 100 and 500 subsidiaries and individual and family service organizations.

Chris is a past president of the Thomas More University Alumni Association Board of Directors, past chairperson of the Holy Family Home Board of Directors, and current Treasurer of the Plantation Pointe Master Association Board of Directors. He is also a Big Brothers, Big Sisters Volunteer, and a Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Camp alumnus.

Gels holds four college degrees and is an award-winning leader in education. He is a co – principal of the Ignite Institute. Gels was named Administrator of the Year in 2017 by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. He was awarded Legacy Top Educator Under 40 in 2010 as well.

Outside of school, Jerome is the father to three children and the founder of American Legacy Tours.
