The Rotary Club of Florence will once again be traveling to Frankfort to see the government of our Commonwealth in action on Tuesday, February 12th. We will have a full day packed with meeting our Boone County legislators, attending some committee meetings and attending the opening sessions of the House and Senate. The agenda is still being developed but we are tentatively planning on a catered lunch from a local restaurant with a cost not to exceed $15 per person.
TENTATIVE Agenda:
7:00 a.m. Depart Hilton for Frankfort
9 a.m. Arrive at Frankfort for possible tour (Governor’s Mansion, Capitol, etc.)
10 a.m. Committee meeting in Capital Annex
11 a.m. Meeting with legislators
12 p.m. Lunch in Capital Annex with Sen. Schickel
1 p.m. Meeting with executive branch staff and/or Supreme Court Justice Michelle Keller
2 p.m. Attend opening session of Senate and House
3:30 p.m. Depart Frankfort
5 p.m. Return to Florence Hilton
