Are You Looking For a Way to Get Involved in Your Community?

Join the Rotary Club of Florence for our Open House

Written By:  Tim Herrmann, Rotary Club of Florence

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, April 29, 2024, at noon for the club’s annual Open House.

We would like to extend a special invitation to all members of the Boone County community (as well as our neighbors in other counties) to join us for our upcoming Rotary Club Luncheon & Information Meeting. This open house is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky, and the impactful work we do. Whether you are a long-time supporter or someone new to the community, we welcome you to join us for this informative social event.

As a large and diverse international organization, Rotary empowers us to help those in need. There are countless opportunities to make a difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. One of Rotary’s greatest, and most successful, missions has been the crusade to eliminate polio completely from Planet Earth, a goal on the cusp of being realized. Rotary also works on worldwide projects as diverse as teacher training where there is a lack, to providing opportunities for those with intellectual and educational disabilities, and supporting breast cancer screenings in parts of the world where mortality rates are unacceptably high.

Locally, Rotary activism works with Boone County Schools to support teachers, students and educators in a variety of impactful ways. We also work with local assistance agencies to reach out to those who need help, offering a hand up and a foot on the right path.

And along the way, Rotary is a fine way to make new friends and business contacts, expanding your leadership and professional skills, while giving back to the community in a meaningful way.

We invite you to come out to our low key, but high energy event where you can learn about the Rotary Club of Florence through visual displays and engagement with current members, while enjoying a delicious sampling of finger foods and hearing stories of the impact that Rotarians have on the world around them.

Every week we say that “Guests are always welcome to join, meet members and learn about the club,” and for today, that is our entire goal. It’s all about you.
