2021-03-08 Children's Home of NKY - Rick Wurth

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, March 8, 2021 at noon as we hear from Rick Wurth, Chief Executive Officer at Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky/CHNK Behavioral Health will be speaking about how CHNK is Positioned for Relevancy.

Rick Wurth, Chief Executive Development Officer at Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky (@CHNK_1882), joined the organization in October 2010. First serving as CHNK’s Vice President for Development in charge of fundraising, Rick was promoted to his current positions in 2012.

Rick leads a team of 100 healthcare professionals who operate out of three campuses across the Northern Kentucky region. Offering a full continuum of care for youth and families who have experienced abuse, neglect, addiction, and other serious trauma, CHNK’s outpatient and residential treatment services impact over 3,700 individuals each year.

Under Rick’s guidance, the agency’s treatment lines have expanded to include addiction treatment, intensive outpatient services, day treatment/partial hospitalization, psychiatric residential treatment, and a therapeutic day school operated in partnership with Covington Independent Public Schools. CHNK’s footprint in Northern Kentucky now spans two counties and three campuses, two of which operate 24/7. Rick’s fundraising expertise has also helped produce over $19 million in revenues from private donors, corporate partners, foundations, and specially-negotiated contracts.

Since joining the CHNK team, Rick has also overseen a $2 million renovation of the organization’s residential cottages and a $5.2 million renovation of CHNK’s historic administration building in Devou Park.
