Rotary Club of Florence to learn about Voice of America Museum on Monday, April 8th

Voice of American Museum

Please join The Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky (serving all of Boone County) on Monday, April 8th at noon as we hear from Jack (John T.) Dominic, Executive Director the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting.  He has served as the Executive Director since March of 2014.  He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati teaching in the eMedia Division of CCM.

Formerly he spent more than 38 years in public broadcasting retiring as VP &CET Station Manager CET, Cincinnati’s public TV station. Dominic writes and blogs about technology and media and has served on several national John Dominic committees and working groups for public TV.  He was one of five participants in a project based at the Smithsonian Institution in the 1980s that investigated the use of computer technology to map and photograph the entire United States and to freely distribute this information electronically.  This project was undertaken well before the advent of Google Earth and other services now taken for granted.

Dominic’s goal is to seek adequate funding to construct and maintain the Bethany Station as an institution of education.  He also wishes to bring to the forefront the critical role of truthful and universal dissemination of information to all people seeking a democratic world.

Guests are always welcome.
