Tips for joining today’s Zoom meeting

Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky

Good morning!  We just wanted to share a couple of helpful Zoom tutorial videos which will help you with today’s meeting:

Joining a meeting – https://youtu.be/hIkCmbvAHQQ

Joining & Configuring Audio & Video – https://youtu.be/-s76QHshQnY

I have found recently with an update from Zoom that there is a glitch with the audio when an individual joins.  It may show in the lower left hand corner that you are Unmuted when you joing, but you are actually muted.  Just click on the microphone icon twice to toggle your microphone off and then back on.

Changing your name in Zoom – https://teaching.nmc.edu/knowledgebase/changing-your-name-in-a-zoom-meeting/  This is really helpful so that we know who is who instead of iPhone386.

Ho Do I Change The Video Layout – You have three choices to view other individuals when joining a Zoom meeting – Active Speaker, Gallery and Mini.  My personal preference is Gallery so that I can see all participants.  Here is an article from Zoom on how to change your video layouts – https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362323-How-Do-I-Change-The-Video-Layout-

Please DO NOT share the login information publicly.  We do not want any Zoom Crashers joining us.  They scour the internet looking for public Zoom links.   The link was sent through dacDB last Thursday around 1:25 pm.  Please contact Adam Howard if you cannot find the link.
