Education Recovering from COVID – Time for a Big Bold Future – Brigitte Blom-Ramsey of Prichard Committee to speak to Rotary Club of Florence

The Rotary Club of Florence (@FlorenceRotary) will be joined by President and CEO of The Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence (@prichardcom) Brigitte Blom-Ramsey @Brigitte_Blom).  Brigitte will be talking about education recovering from COVID and the importance businesses and the community plays in our schools and children’s lives.  Prichard Committee - Brigitte Blom-Ramsey

Before joining the Prichard Committee, Brigitte was director of public policy for United Way of Greater Cincinnati focusing on state policy in Kentucky related to early childhood education. Ms. Ramsey spent a decade as an elected member of the Board of Education in rural Pendleton County, Kentucky and served as a governor-appointed member of the Kentucky Board of Education for six years. She holds undergraduate degrees in economics and international studies and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Kentucky Martin School.

Education Recovery for a Big Bold Future: The Prichard Committee continues to study, inform and mobilize around all issues related to education in the Commonwealth. We remain committed to moving the Commonwealth toward a Big Bold Future as we begin building a new foundation for education in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have a delicious option for your luncheon this coming Monday … SubStation II in Ft. Wright!  Their food is so good, and it’s very easy to order.  Please try to place your order by the Friday afternoon before our meeting, or by 9:30/10:00 Monday morning at the latest. 

1.) Please check out the web site www.substationii.com and click on “Order Online”;
2.) Select the Fr. Wright on Dixie Highway location for a “Pickup” (and NOT a delivery);
3.) Order your meal just like you would at the restaurant … select the sandwich size, bread, cheese and/or toppings, plus any additional items you may want (chips and/or a drink);
4.) Mark the order for an 11:30 pick-up on Monday.  Under “Order Notes” please add “For Florence Rotary/Pickup by Dave Wolfer”;
5.) Pay via a credit card.
