The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their impact on the world will be the topic of discussion as presented by Professor Tom Meyer to the Rotary Club of Florence (@FlorenceRotary).

Professor Meyer will discuss the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls that occurred 75 years ago and why it captivated the attention of the world. To this day, they are still considered the most important archaeological discovery of all time. The Dead Sea Scrolls are ancient Jewish and Hebrew manuscripts that have been widely recognized as the most convincing proof of Jesus’ existence.

Tom Meyer, known as The Bible Memory Man, is an American public speaker known for his ability to quote over 20 complete books of the Bible dramatically from memory. He earned his B.A. in Bible and Theology from Shasta Bible College, where he now teaches, and two M.A. degrees from Jerusalem University College. Most recently Meyer gained notoriety for participating in the recitation of the entire New Testament completely from memory. Meyer along with six other Christians recited all 27 books, 260 chapters, 8,000 verses word-for-word from memory.

Guests are always welcome to join and we would love to have new club members!
