On Monday, June 28, 2021 , the Rotary Club of Florence will continue a long standing tradition in the club’s history in the Passing of the Gavel ceremony. Duane Froelicher will become the club’s 76th President replacing outgoing President Peter Weickgenannat.
Each former president passes the gavel to the one who fallowed until it reaches the new president. “The passing of the gavel shows the incoming president he is not alone, sitting on an island,” said Dennis McEvoy, a two-time club president and former district governor of Kentucky Rotary District 6740.
Guests are always welcome.

We have a delicious option for your luncheon this coming Monday … SubStation II in Ft. Wright! Their food is so good, and it’s very easy to order. Please try to place your order by the Friday afternoon before our meeting, or by 9:30/10:00 Monday morning at the latest.
1.) Please check out the web site www.substationii.com and click on “Order Online”;
2.) Select the Fr. Wright on Dixie Highway location for a “Pickup” (and NOT a delivery);
3.) Order your meal just like you would at the restaurant … select the sandwich size, bread, cheese and/or toppings, plus any additional items you may want (chips and/or a drink);
4.) Mark the order for an 11:30 pick-up on Monday. Under “Order Notes” please add “For Florence Rotary/Pickup by Dave Wolfer”;
5.) Pay via a credit card.
