Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed President Lee Crume to speak at Rotary Club of Florence on Monday, December 2nd

On Monday, December 2nd, the Rotary Club of Florence will be hearing from Lee Crume, President and CEO of Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed.

The Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED) blends public and private funds to enhance the business climate in and foster regional cooperation among Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. We market and promote Northern Kentucky on a national and international basis as a desirable location for new or expanding businesses, and we assist existing local companies to expand operations and grow their customer base.  

Since its founding in 1987, Northern Kentucky Tri-ED has led the successful relocation or expansion efforts for 670 business projects, representing more than 67,000 primary industry jobs created with a capital investment of more than $8.4 billion.

Northern Kentucky is home to more than 550 primary industry companies which represent a strong diversity of industry and innovation.

Lee previously served as Global Director of Business Development for JobsOhio, the private, non-profit corporation that drives job creation and new capital investment in Ohio. In this capacity, he led the creation and implementation of JobsOhio’s global business development operations and strategy which includes activities in eight countries. He

also created and implemented JobsOhio BusDev2.0 to optimize and better focus business development efforts with the goal of increasing sales and improving velocity of sales through the pipeline while deriving greater ROI from existing resources and investments. Lee was part of a team that delivered 15-20 project wins each year for JobsOhio.

He offers over 25 years of business development experience, including: leading domestic and global business development organizations, multi-million-dollar pursuits, and developing the marketing for and rolling out of new products and services. His clients include: Fortune 10 to 1,000 organizations, Big 4 and international consulting firms, and various public and private organizations. Lee began his career in leadership roles at UPS, Pitney Bowes, IKON, and most recently before joining JobsOhio in 2013, DMA.

Lee’s leadership has been recognized within the economic development industry:

  • 2017 Top 50 United States Economic Developer by Consultant Connect
  • 2015 Site Selector’s Guild Excellence in Economic Development

Lee is a member of the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Greater Cincinnati Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. He has a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Western Kentucky University.
