On Monday, June 29, 2020 , the Rotary Club of Florence will continue a long standing tradition in the club’s history in the Passing of the Gavel ceremony. Peter Weickgenannt will become the club’s 75th President replacing outgoing President Frank Schneider.
Each former president passes the gavel to the one who fallowed until it reaches the new president. “The passing of the gavel shows the incoming president he is not alone, sitting on an island,” said Dennis McEvoy, a two-time club president and former district governor of Kentucky Rotary District 6740.
Peter Weickgenannt is a Senior Lender with Heritage Bank and has served in various club officer positions.
Guests are always welcome.
