On Saturday August 20th our district hosted the Youth Exchange Orientation for the Inbound Youth.
We had over 20 people attending which included exchange students from Mexico, Japan, France, and Argentina. Their host parents and counselors were in attendance.
District Governor John Adams welcomed everyone and Kathryn Hardmann, District Governor Elect also welcomed them and served as a presenter for the youth.
In addition to presentations by District Governor Elect Hardman, the following people from the Florence Rotary Club served as hosts and presenters: Chuck Seal (Counseling), Chase Crigler (Advisor to Youth), Dave Wolfer (Assistant to the District Chair) and Jack Lundy (District Chair).
District medals, sweat shirts and t-shirts were presented to the participants from Carlisle, Pikeville, Georgetown, Covington, and Ashland.
The exchange students had just arrived and started school so some of them were still experiencing jet lag; but they were off to a very good start.
