The Rotary club of Florence is inviting students who attend a Boone County (public and private) school and is a resident of Boone County, Kentucky to apply for a scholarship.

Schools included: Boone County High School Conner High School Cooper High School Heritage Academy Ignite Institute Ryle High School St Henry High School Union Pointe Academy, Walton Verona High School If home schooled, physical location of home schooling must be in Boone County

I understand that all application materials are to be submitted on or before Friday, March 7, 2025. After reviewing all of the applications, the Rotary Club of Florence Scholarship Selection Committee will choose a maximum of 8 candidates from each school. Those students will then be invited to participate in a short interview at their high school with members of the club. One recipient per school or group will be selected and awarded a $1000 scholarship. For example, Heritage Academy and Union Pointe Academy are in a small private school group; therefore, only one student from their group will be selected.
If selected as a scholarship recipient, I will submit my college or university business office address, in writing, for the funds to be forwarded directly to the college or university of my choice. Also, if selected, I will attend a Rotary Club of Florence luncheon and meeting on Monday, May 5, 2025 starting at 11:45am to accept my award and speak about my academic and community achievements as well as my plans for the future.
If selected as a scholarship recipient, I will pursue opportunities to become involved in Rotary or Rotaract in the future and agree to return to future Rotary meetings to provide an update to my career and community involvements.
