Northern Kentucky is lucky to have a number of high quality institutions of higher education in our community. Thomas More University is one of them. On Monday, October 26th, the 15th President of Thomas More University (@ThomasMoreKY) Dr. Joseph L. Chillo (@ThomasMorePres) will share with the Rotary Club of Florence the latest initiatives at the university.
Dr. Joseph L. Chillo assumed the presidency of Thomas More University in June 2019. He most recently served as president of Newbury College, a private, independent college located near Boston, since 2014. 
Dr. Chillo holds his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, a Master of Public Administration from Long Island University, and a Doctor of Law and Policy from Northeastern University. Joe has pursued executive leadership development through the Council of Independent Colleges, the Harvard University Graduate School of Education Seminar for New Presidents, and the Institute for Educational Management offered by Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
Joe has committed his career to the transformative power of a values-based and engaging liberal arts education and serves as a mission-driven, servant leader dedicated to academic and student excellence. With more than 25 years of private higher education experience, Joe’s past positions include senior leadership roles at Colby-Sawyer College, Wheelock College, and St. Thomas Aquinas College. He also served as an elementary school principal in the Archdiocese of Boston and taught in the humanities department at Newbury College.
Joe and his wife, Laura, reside in northern Kentucky and have two teenage children.
